RGC Terms of Use & Community Standards

1. Purpose and Scope

1.01 Ranked Gaming Client (RGC) is a competitive online platform for DotA, Warlock, and Legends of DotA (LoD), offering ranked matchmaking, ladders, and community features.

1.02 This Rulebook defines the standards of conduct, competitive integrity, and acceptable use of the platform.

1.03 By accessing or using RGC, all users agree to comply with these rules.

1.04 Violations may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or permanent bans.

2. Core Principles

2.01 All users must uphold the following principles:

2.02 Respect — Treat all players, staff, and community members fairly.

2.03 Integrity — Participate honestly without exploiting systems.

2.04 Accountability — Accept responsibility for all actions taken.

2.05 Fair Play — Compete without cheating, abuse, or manipulation.

3. Account and Eligibility

3.01 Users must be at least 13 years of age to use the platform.

3.02 Users are fully responsible for all activity conducted through their accounts.

3.03 Impersonation of staff or other users is strictly prohibited.

3.04 Use of multiple accounts (smurfing) for abuse, evasion of punishment, or manipulation is prohibited.

4. Platform Conduct Policy

4.1 Communication Standards

4.1.01 Users must communicate respectfully at all times.

4.1.02 The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:

4.1.03 Harassment, flaming, or toxic behavior
4.1.04 Racism, hate speech, or discrimination
4.1.05 Pornographic or explicit content
4.1.06 Offensive usernames or clan identities

4.2 Language Policy

4.2.01 English is the official language of communication on RGC.

4.2.02 Users are strongly encouraged to use English in public channels.

4.3 Spam and Disruption

4.3.01 Spamming, including repetitive messages, is prohibited.

4.3.02 Excessive tagging or highlighting of users is not allowed.

4.3.03 Abuse of CAPS LOCK is considered disruptive behavior.

4.4 Advertising and Promotion

4.4.01 Advertising external platforms, services, or websites is prohibited.

4.4.02 Approved RGC partners may promote content under controlled limits set by administration.

4.4.03 Unauthorized links or promotional content may result in disciplinary action.

4.5 Restricted Activities

4.5.01 The following activities are strictly prohibited:

4.5.02 Gambling or betting related to RGC matches
4.5.03 Selling, trading, or purchasing ranks/services
4.5.04 Unauthorized promotions or scams
4.5.05 Multi-account abuse for spam or manipulation

5. Competitive Integrity Rules

5.1 Fair Play

5.1.01 Players must compete honestly at all times.

5.1.02 The following are strictly prohibited:

5.1.03 Cheating, hacking, or third-party tools
5.1.04 Exploiting bugs or unintended game mechanics
5.1.05 Sharing unauthorized game information

5.2 Match Integrity

5.2.01 The following actions are considered severe violations:

5.2.02 Intentional feeding
5.2.03 AFK without valid reason
5.2.04 Refusal to participate
5.2.05 Griefing or sabotaging teammates
5.2.06 Revealing team information to opponents

5.3 Collusion and Match Fixing

5.3.01 Any attempt to manipulate matchmaking or rankings is prohibited.

5.3.02 This includes, but is not limited to:

5.3.03 Win trading
5.3.04 Boosting
5.3.05 Coordinated farming of points

5.3.06 All involved parties may be penalized.

6. In-Game and Lobby Rules

6.1 Game Commitment

6.1.01 Users must not intentionally leave matches.

6.1.02 Users should only join matches they intend to complete.

6.2 Lobby Conduct

6.2.01 Players must be ready promptly using the !ready command.

6.2.02 Players must behave respectfully during lobby and draft phases.

6.3 Gameplay Behavior

6.3.01 Players must not abuse in-game systems or commands.

6.3.02 Harassment using in-game abilities is prohibited.

6.3.03 Intentional interference with teammates is not allowed.

6.4 Bug and Exploit Policy

6.4.01 Exploiting bugs or glitches is strictly prohibited.

6.4.02 All bugs must be reported to the platform.

7. Staff and Authority Guidelines

7.1 Respect Toward Staff

7.1.01 Staff decisions must be respected.

7.1.02 Mocking or impersonating staff is prohibited.

7.2 Staff Conduct

7.2.01 Staff must act professionally at all times.

7.2.02 Staff must enforce rules fairly and without bias.

7.3 Abuse of Authority

7.3.01 Abuse of staff privileges is strictly prohibited.

7.3.02 Violations may result in removal of access or further disciplinary action.

8. Channel and Community Management

8.1 Moderation Standards

8.1.01 Moderators must ensure rule enforcement.

8.1.02 Personal bias must not influence moderation decisions.

8.2 Ban Policy

8.2.01 All bans must include a clear and valid reason.

8.2.02 Ban durations must follow official RGC guidelines.

8.2.03 Maximum ban duration in public channels is one (1) month.

8.3 Community Conduct

8.3.01 Spamming invites or promotions is prohibited.

8.3.02 Cross-channel advertising must follow approved timing intervals.

9. Custom Channels and Premium Features

9.1 Channel Ownership

9.1.01 Only authorized Global Administrators may assign ranks.

9.1.02 Unauthorized rank assignments will be removed.

9.2 Player Consent

9.2.01 Users must provide consent before being vouched into custom channels.

9.3 Abuse Prevention

9.3.01 Misuse of vouch, ban, or ranking systems is prohibited.

9.3.02 Violations may result in:

9.3.03 Removal of privileges
9.3.04 Channel penalties
9.3.05 Channel closure

10. Command Usage Policy

10.01 Users with command access must use commands responsibly.

10.02 Commands must only be used with a valid justification.

10.03 Abuse of commands may result in:

10.04 Suspension of access
10.05 Rank removal
10.06 Platform bans

11. Enforcement and Penalties

11.01 Violations of this rulebook may result in:

11.02 Warning
11.03 Temporary suspension
11.04 Rank removal
11.05 Permanent ban

11.06 All enforcement decisions are made at the discretion of RGC Administration.

12. Final Authority

12.01 RGC Administration reserves the right to modify these rules at any time.

12.02 Rules may be interpreted based on context and severity.

12.03 Final decisions made by RGC Administration are binding.

12.04 Ranked Gaming Client is built for competitive players who value fairness, discipline, and respect.

12.05 Failure to meet these standards may result in removal from the platform.

We appreciate your message and the time you dedicated to the Europe section during your tenure. You were indeed a valuable staff member and played an important role in maintaining fair play and structure in RGC Europe.

After your inactivity, we continued to face numerous operational challenges in Europe. Your position was retained for several months before being reassigned, as other staff such as Snow and Mine stepped up to maintain stability. Mine's introduction of the autoban system has been a major improvement, reducing moderation needs and keeping the Global Region running smoothly  even without active moderators.

Given the current user base and structure, assigning multiple global staff to Europe wouldn’t be practical at this time. However, if you’re motivated to return and contribute again, I can offer you the following roles to restart your journey:
